Imitation: the highest form of flattery?

Some people say that imitation is the highest form of flattery. If that’s the case, then I guess I should feel very flattered.
My website Blue Cherry Zing has not just been imitated, it has been completely ripped off!! A site called Metro Mediums has copied my design in its entirety. They have stolen my original graphics, my hand-crafted code and my beautiful cherry logo.
They even had the nerve to put a copyright statement at the bottom of their page!
Luckily, intellectual property such as graphic design is protected under international copyright law. I’ve written to Metro Mediums and respectfully asked them to either remove my work or compensate me for its use. If they refuse, then I am willing to take further action. I put so much work into Blue Cherry Zing… there’s no way I’m going to let someone else claim it as their own.
I really just don’t understand some people at all.

I’ve been following your blog for quite a while, and I like your design alot. Keep up your great work!
Some guys are not only sneaky they are stupid as well. You are simply too nice to them putting a link on your great site with the anchor text “Metro Mediums” rather then “stolen graphics”.

Wow! I’d be pissed, too. I hope you get this sorted. It’s amazing that people have such low morals to rip a design so blatantly.
